Weekly of July 5th Market by Sector
Sector investing and factor investing are two different strategies used to diversify investment portfolios. I like to look at the key sectors each week to see what’s performing well over the week, month, and quarter.
Sector investing involves allocating investments based on specific segments of the economy, such as technology, healthcare, or energy. For example, if you invest in the technology sector, you are buying stocks of companies like Apple or Microsoft, which are part of the tech industry.
Factor investing focuses on certain characteristics or attributes, called factors, that can influence a stock's performance. Common factors include value (investing in undervalued stocks), momentum (investing in stocks that have been performing well recently), and size (investing in smaller companies with high growth potential).
