Project 2025
First, thank you to Todd and this amazing community! Borrow Smart changed my business and life and for that, I am forever grateful.
Now, I was thinking ahead to 2025 and what needs to happen to make this upcoming year an amazing year. While doing my morning Stoic reading, studying, and journaling this quote hit me hard, “You never step in the same river twice”. This thought led me to think about the books that have meant the most to me in my life and career. Can I go back, read these books again, study them, and then take action AGAIN based on the teachings from these? Well, I decided yes I can and I need to cement the principles taught and take action.
Here are the books and a few notes I already have:
Todd Ballenger - Borrow Smart Repay Smart - Reread, teach and revist CLA Training. What have I missed or forgotten? What can I take to my database and prospects to make their life better?
Todd Duncan - High Trust Selling - Put Time Blocking into every day, revisit my High Trust Sales Academy Binder, and reimplement ideas. Implement High Trust Interview
Cal Newport - Slow Productivity, Deep Work - My first book, I reread Deep Work yesterday, and here are some thoughts and Action Items:
Attention residue when task switching Use Release from BB. Work on task with no switching. Semi-distraction is devastating.
Rhythmic is my approach. Set aside hours each day to do deep work. No phone or email until 9?
Be better about email responding. Work to eliminate back and forth chains.
Get off Social Media. No more than 5 minutes per day other than my LinkedIn approach.
Turn off the phone at 6 pm. This will be a tough one.
Learn to say NO more often.
Brandon Burchard - High Performance Habits - Currently studying and rereading this one. AMAZING BOOK! Listen to Daily Fire in his app (Highly recommend it). Daily journaling.
Joe Sweeney - Networking is a Contact Sport, Moving the Needle. I am very lucky Joe is a friend of mine but these two changed so much for me.
This is it for now. I will update y’all as I go and if anyone wants to join me on this journey just let me know.
The ABSOLUTE KEY to this is implementation into my business and life. Food is not Nutrition a wise man once told me.
Have a great Thanksgiving weekend and looking forward to hearing from you folks.
