The Best Value in the Mortgage Industry

Hello everyone-

I have completed the CLA course, and am so grateful that CLA exists. I have wanted to provide this level of value and support to clients and partners for years, but felt like an idea salesperson. I basically sent automated HomeBot emails and called a ton of people asking for referrals "to help them build wealth."

Now I actually understand the fundamentals of how borrowing, investing, insurance planning, estate planning, and tax planning all intersect, and most importantly-- can communicate this both in layperson's language and in the skilled languages and perspectives of the different roles on the Wealth Team. This makes us invaluable to clients and partners, both due to the higher quality of my advice and insights, and also due to our ability to generate compounding referrals for a compounding network of high quality professionals.

I currently have:
* 2 closed loans since beginning working with FAs a few months ago and have a large number of families I have referred to IAs, FAs, EAs, CPAs and Realtors
* 5 partners in the "Experience" phase
* 16 partners in the "How and Why" phases -
* 23 suspects and 6 other warmly referred suspects from clients this week that I plan to reach out to

While I am a solid, professional mortgage advisor, I have spent almost 2 decades chasing Realtors for referrals, and that business channel is high maintenance, (usually) low quality, and (usually) unstable. (Over 80% of new agents leave the business in under 2 years, and over 80% of top producing agents leave the industry or are no longer top producing in 7 yrs)

Now, for every client I talk to, I either get to meet 5-6 new partners or connect them with my professional partners. These partners are true professionals and will work together as partners for the rest of our careers. AND they actually follow up with their clients long-term and part of their value proposition is referring ME!

This approach is long overdue. It’s not easy to internalize the concepts and the practice while running a day-to-day purchase business, yet it actually has the potential to compound and become more valuable while giving more time freedom over time, which is not normal in this industry.

Thanks again Todd for sharing this with us!
